Toddler noises?

Hi!

I'm wondering if it's typical for young toddlers (around 18 months) to make noises alongside using real words and babbling? Mine is making a lot of noise and I don't have enough experience with babies to know what is common and what may be concerning. I mean blowing raspberries again and again, saying the same sounds again and again while walking around or being sat down (eg 'Tika tika tika tika tika'), screeching, sort of singing to themselves when waking up. Some of these are repeated from me (ie I say 'tika tika tika') when tickling up their legs but some are just noises. Is it typical to have a noisy toddler or does this sound unusual to you?

Thank you!

This is typical! Try to translate what they’re saying and then clarify the right word and repeat it several times. I think 18 month olds are only expected to know about 10 words, and gradually increase them.

@Glo1988 thank you so much for replying...he has about 15 words he uses consistently and intentionally, and he babbles as well (mimicking conversation). Its just as well as all that are just these slightly odd noises which don't seem connected to anything communicative, he just seems to like doing them. They aren't like talking, more just repeating sounds he likes if that makes sense?

I don’t think you have anything to worry about! Enjoy him!
