Robotic Speech, not autism

I‘m not sure if I am posting in the correct place, sorry.

My DS is 6.5 and has been referred to a speech therapist by his school.

His voice is quite monotone, robotic and stop/start.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Google only comes up with autism when I search.

DS1 has a monotone, robotic voice without autism. His is a result of other complex needs and mental health difficulties.

Thanks for your reply. My DS seems healthy so I’m not sure what is causing his unusual voice. Has speech therapy helped your DS at all?

SALT has helped overall, but not specifically with the robotic voice issue. It is one of the more minor difficulties DS1 has, so hasn’t really been the focus.
