Hi all,
I love some thoughts and advise from any mums who have been through the appeals process.
My child is 4 in pre-school, diagnosed ASD.
He currently attends on a reduced timetable with 1:1 support. The funding is provided by the school, but the budget is not there for the full time table.
He currently has a school based IDP (in Wales, so this is the EHCP equivalent).
We have applied for this to be increased to an LA IDP so they have to fund his support, also applied for a place in a SEN unit within the school for reception.
Both have been turned down, and I have appealed this decision. I have been advised the LA don’t usually change their minds at first appeal, does anyone have experience of going to tribunal?
Sorry it’s long!
