Phonecall to Bibic

I have phoned Bibic this morning and will be arranging my telephone interview for next week.
I really feel that dd has lots of sensory issues and that they may be able to help. They were seeing 2 children with language disorders today. Fingers crossed it all goes well although know it will be a few months before we actually go down there. If we are suitable that is!

Hi BH - would love to hear how you get on at BIBIC. It is somewhere we might consider taking dd when she is a bit older and it will be a bit clearer what her difficulties are going to be.

I didn't really get on with counselling either. I've posted about it before I think. I have found mumsnet so much more helpful.

I went to one counselling session a few yeas ago. Kept bursting in to tears unexpectedly and GP offered counselling so thought I'd go, why not? Was fine a couple of weeks later when I saw her, found it moderately interesting and ticked the box, something I didn't need!

I think tbh that since having the life changing day when I had a long chat with the school I feel so different.
I know now that dd will probably never get a diagnosis as she doesn't tick all of the relevant boxes. It has made me feel so much freeer (sp?) to concentrate on what dd's needs actually are rather than worrying about a label as such (which I did for far too long!. It is obvious that things with dd are so unclear that even the pros are baffled! As dd gets older I am sure things will become clearer and I do feel happy thinking like that.
Bibic have changed there website so it's worth having a look! We are staying in there bungalow so I am also happy about that as don't fancy a b&b or hotel!
I didn't read about your counselling HITC

Good luck with Bibic, BH. My friend went there with her daughter and found it immensely helpful. Sorry to hear about the counselling.

So glad it went well for you....told you they were a freindly bunch.
At least now it means we can meet up....YIPPPPEEEEE.
Just one note...why dont you book the bungalow the night before your assessment starts so that you are refreshed the next morning....
We did that and so did Yorkie...much better and the kids would get used to the surroundings before the assessment starts.

Chat soon.
