Only waited a year! (Great with our family history huh!). Anyway apart from the fact I realised half way through that his eardrum had burst (!- bad mummy- he told me as we were leaving the house that his ear was "all dirty" but I told him it was just where he'd been crying! - we were late!) it all went well. Sooooooo different from an assessmnet with ds1. He had the SALT in stiches. At one stage he started to put his hand down my top so I told him to "leave mummy's chest alone" to which he shouted "no not mummy's chest mummy's boobies". The SALT just said that he obviously had a good vocabulary :o
Anyway- some sounds missing, but not much to worry about - she'll see him again in 3 months (one of my pet hates- kids like ds2 who don't really need much help/input get regular access to SALT- kids like ds1 who need it desperately get none for a year). In the meatime we have to practice s and f.
And the eardrum is healing nicely :o (although apparently still a bit "dore" - think we need to work on the s's).
