I applied 6 weeks ago I rang this morning she said it’s on second stage I sent in copy of DLA award my daughter is 4 with suspected ASD and possibly ADHD she’s under speech therapist and has a sen plan currently doing an ECHP plan I asked for clothing voucher and gaming bundle voucher as she’s into tablets I’m just wondering what people got for 1 child and how long it took to hear back

Hey, I was wondering how long it took? I've applied 8 weeks ago and only had an email so far to say they recieved it

I'm on week 10. I called last week to see if there was any updates and I was told it was in the final stages and they didn't need anymore information but couldn't tell me how long it might be, just that they are working beyond the 10 week timeframe. Hopefully it won't be much longer 🤞

@mummyofthreemunchkins hey I was wondering if you had a decision yet? I haven't rang but when I logged into my family portal this morning it doesn't say anything about my application just says when I can next reapply? So I'm guessing I've been turned down

Still not heard anything. Going to give it until the end of the week and give them another call. From what I've read they've changed everyone's to a 2 year reapply based on the amount of applications they get, so it's not an indication of being accepted or not. Just something they've put in place across the board for everyone. What week are you on?

@mummyofthreemunchkins ah right I was just thinking maybe the had made a decision because when I logged on last week it was telling me I could add more like evidence kind of thing now when I log on it just says my name and when I can next re-apply. I'm on week 10 this week hopefully you get some good news when you ring up and they've got a decision for you x

I thought the same when mine flagged up with it, but from what I was told they've had such a massive influx of applications they've had to put this cap on it. Fingers crossed, I don't know if the timeframe depends on what/how much you've applied for. Hope you hear something soon too 🤞

We've only asked for a laptop, but it will make such a massive difference for her with helping at school and her work at home. Hopefully you get your nice break! 🙂

Finally heard back this morning, we're on 13 weeks today. She got declined 😞 hope you have better luck 🤞

Im gutted for you, im on week 10 this is my first time applying for my 16 year old son who has adhd and by the sounds of it i dont stand a chance of getting any help for him i only asked for clothes has he ruins them being so active. How did they get intouch with you was it by letter or email and did they give you a reason to why they declinded

Thank you. I'm gutted for her, I received an email this morning saying she's been declined. It was just a generic email saying there's certain criteria to meet and isn't just based on diagnoses or being entitled to DLA/PIP. I sent in loads of evidence, and a letter from her school saying how much help it would be now she's also going into GCSE years.
It did say I could appeal, but not sure I've got it in me for another load of forms and paperwork chasing again. I would need to send different evidence, and have nothing left to send.
Hope you guys get a better outcome x

Just a little update and wondering if this has happened to anyone else I just got a message off family fund to say an assessor will be ringing me on the 6th the person dealing with my claim for a chat?

Update: im on week 10 got a email this morning saying i had been accepted but no details on what so i called and my son got awarded £300 cash for days out £200 for clothing £100 argos card for garden, i dont know when ill recieve them but im pretty happy he got awarded and so greatful. I cant understand why you didnt get awarded for your daughter when she seems she could of benerfited from it more than my son, i didnt go into detail on the application if im honest. My son has adhd that is it he has good days and bad days and i only asked for clothing has my first choice because he ruins them being hyper and garden table and chairs so he could sit and enjoy the garden when hes not hyper lol, for days out i just put the whole family could benerfit from a nice day together and that was it. I only sent his pip forms as evidence aswell nothing from drs or school and i had no phone call appointment from them, i cant understand how they work it out seems abit by chance or luck if im honest

@kasha1988 hey I was wondering for the clothing is it a park card.you received and can you use it online or is it inshore only? Xx

Im unsure it was just a card with familyfund onit, you can only use it in store and it didnt work first few times even tho i registered it, i was so embarrassed because the lady made it a sitution but yhhh just makesure they swipe it like a debit card and you shouldnt have any issues. I hope this helps x

She tried to add it like a voucher when they should of used it as a debit card you af to swipe it and you dont need to add your pin to buy anything the pin is just to register it xx
