Secondary school place

Hi

if your child is on an ECHP when do you hear about secondary school places. I had to apply with a paper application which I sent with supporting documentation last year - I’m applying for a DP in a mainstream school.

I chased in January and February and was told they haven’t been allocated yet.

this morning I find out all of his peers have been alllocated places but I still haven’t heard anything.

really getting worried now.

Secondary phase transfer EHCPs must be finalised by 15th February. If DC’s hasn’t been you need to email the LA’s Director of Children’s Services reminding them of the deadline and threatening judicial review if they don’t finalise ASAP. If that doesn’t work contact SOSSEN for help with a pre-action letter.

I spoke to SEND at the school earring who apologised and said there’s been a delay sending the offers for children on EHCP.
she said I should get the email today or tomorrow but couldn’t tell me where he had been allocated.
I will find an email for LA director of children’s services and send today.
