DLA Mandatory Reconsideration

Good afternoon!

I applied for my daughters DLA scanned on 29th September. On the 29th December found out it was declined. Asked for a MR on the 3rd January and received extra evidence on the 7th I believe.

How long did it take for peoples MRs?

My son got accepted first time without issues and his sister is worse but been declined. She's suspected as having ADHD and Autism but currently on the waiting list. I waited for her to be referred before applying so I would have something to back me up on why my daughter needs more care than a typical 6 year old.

Hello!
I am in the same position as yourself with the same scan date of the 29/09 I was also declined and was really surprised as she has adhd diagnosis (sent the diagnosis letter which details her behavioural issues) and this causes stool withholding she refuses all medication which makes it a lot worse… she has constant incontinence and under consultant and sees GP regularly she is up every single night with the constant incontinence and they rejected on the grounds shes academically very bright (although she does have behavioural issues at school) and that she can just wear a paid for incontinence and manage her own care needs! Have challenged the whole descions as she can’t clean herself and is very sore ect… was told to wait 5 weeks then call for an update, have you had any update and may I ask what further evidence you sent in? Hope you get an answer asap! Xx

Hi. Do all claims successful or not, get the mandatory reconsideration, or do you need to ask for it?
