Is this stimming?

My DS is 9 and has a DX of SEN. He's currently in the process of being rereferred to the paediatrician.

I've noticed when he is engrossed in something (his tablet for example) his feet amd toes twirl all the time. They do not stay still he also sort of tenses them when excited.

Is this what is known as stimming? I have long suspected he is on the spectrum but because he has friends and can be social they basically said no chance.

Yes, I think that would be called stimming. NT people also stim though - twirling hair etc.

Yes, my DS does this too. He tenses his face as well.

Yes my son does this also. He tenses his whole body in fact.

The senco has finished his referral so fingers crossed we get some more answers this time.
