trace - glad you had a small step forward yesterday

dd sounds fab and a proper little battler.

Don't think I've seen your posts about her hip - what's going on there? dd has had hip problems - not a structural problem as such - a consequence of a pronnlem with her leg as awhole. Have you got to do the harness stuff?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/02/2008 09:38

a pronnlem ? a problem

trace2 · 05/02/2008 09:42

hi Saggarmakersbottomknocker we got a letter xmas eve telling us her hips abnormal went yesterday shes too old for harness but carnt cast her cos she postures, may do more damage, so hoping it dont dislicate any more yet, go back in 6 months for another xray if it dont go back she needs a opp, one leg is longer than other

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/02/2008 09:46

ah dd had one leg longer than the other - she had a clot that stopped the growth. Her hip problem was because of the leg whereas it sounds like your dd's leg is shorter because of the hip.

Has anyone pointed you in the direction of the STEPS website?

trace2 · 05/02/2008 09:52

yes thats right, my brother had simlar to your dd his was perthesed hip, no whats steps?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/02/2008 09:55

Steps website. Loads of info about hip conditions and treatment - there's a message board and you can often buy second hand equipment - car seats etc for when they have a harness or a bar.
