Does anyone have any experience of this?
DS is 2. He has delayed development with speech & cognitive.
Tests have come back showing this.
I am so worried about him & his future.
I am hopeful that he doesn't have any of the physical conditions associated with it as tests have come back clear so far.

I feel like a failure & it's my fault.

Hello @MsMiaWallace, my son has this. He was diagnosed at 4 and a half, he is now 7 - his big concern was speech (he has velopharyngeal insufficiency). He has since been diagnosed with autism too. I was petrified when I read everything that goes with the diagnosis but we have been very lucky that he doesn't have any heart, thymus etc problems. It's difficult not knowing what the future will be but there is a great 22q community online. Have you contacted Max Appeal?

Hi my daughter also has 22q she is now 14, she's in a mainstream secondary school with some extra support. Happy to find others as it can be a lonely place sometimes but please don't feel like a failure
