Hi everyone, so I originally posted this in the behaviour and development forum but @PritiPatelsMaker kindly suggested I repost here... I just wanted to pose a question about the Mchat as most threads on Mumsnet seem to redirect people to this screening tool. Is it wholly accurate? I have used it to 'assess' DS and he scores pretty low (I don't think he follows my gaze very well if I look at something though has no problems with following pointing, he also doesn't seem to reliably look at me when confronted with something new or scary so have had to mark against him there etc), however my son is potentially quite sensory-seeking rather than avoidant and the mchat really does seem to be geared towards sensory-avoidance. Maybe I'm wrong on that though? I'm rambling now, anyone there with thoughts or experiences? X
