So I'll start by explaining a bit first. Son is almost 5 and in reception. He's got EHCP and salt involved. He understands everything and does speak but he struggles with spontaneous language such as having a random convo. He's good at learned sentences and asking for things etc
Anyway so recently was parents evening. He's doing well for him. Which is fab. Teacher told me that the year 6 kids often volunteer to help the younger kids. So one time a boy came who has high functioning autism, from year 6. My son saw him come in to the room and was staring at him looking amazed etc she said and then my son went and hugged the other boy. The first ever time he met him. Which is very unlike my son as he does hug ppl but not random ppl he doesn't know
So does he sometimes sense this person is also autistic like me? How would he know, a wonderfully weird experience
