My 6yo DD has Scarlet fever and is on the mend but she has been super angry the last couple of days. She's been off school over a week so her routine has gone out the window. She was asleep on time last night and I went to wake her at 7 and she would not wake and when she did literally punched and kicked me and went back to sleep.
When she got this morning she was and still is in a foul mood, I've been kicked and punched, she has screamed and cried over any tiny little thing. Next minute she's happy as larry bouncing round the house. I'm upstairs having a breather right now because tbh I'm close to tears. Do you think being unwell has attributed to this or lack of routine from being off school so long?

Could be any or all of the above. My DD struggles to regulate her emotions ( more than usual) when ill, probably but helped by refusing to take any medicine.
