Primary or secondary?

Closest one to you: www.kestrelhouseschool.co.uk

You can search for schools here.

You could try The Holmewood school.

Abingdon House?

I don't think Kestrel House is a match for the profile you've mentioned of "high" functioning autism (presuming you mean no cognitive learning disability).

DS is in year 5, looking for space for primary which goes upto secondary as well. No learning disabilities, has autism, verbal, dyspraxia, very calm, capable in maths but hates english or anything too language based as he has receptive language delay so finds mainstream teaching difficult. Looking somewhere he will fit in academically and with peer group of similar needs.

Does anyone know much about Abingdon or Holmewood mentioned here or have children there? Im looking at Blossom House as well but cannot find much reviews or details about these school apart from their own websites. Just need a school that do what they say they will do (wishful thinking perhaps) and understand autism.

Hi there,

Just wondering if you managed to find anywhere for your son? Only I’m in a similar boat and am struggling to find anywhere appropriate
