Hi

I've eventually got my sons peads app through!

Can anyone advise what happens please?

All I've been told is to take his red book. Currently in the process of writing everything down and gathering evidence.

TIA!

Unfortunately there’s no one answer to this. It depends on why you have been referred and differs area to area. The commonality between them is they will ask about DC’s history and what led to you being referred. They may want to examine &/or observe DC or get them to do different tasks.

Thank you, I thought it would vary!

He's been referred for autism.

At ours they took a massively detailed medical, behavioural and developmental history. I wasn’t completely prepared as the letter simply said it would be a play- based assessment. They also wanted to observe him but he didn’t really play ball and dh had to take him out to play in the reception area with the SALT while I continued talking to the paed.

Good luck.
