Wanted: pre-school assistant for DD

I'm so cross! I had a letter on Friday confirming we have been awarded funded for someone to do one-on-one care for DD at pre-school BUT they calmly tell me there is no-one there to fund "but the are recruiting all the time". Apparently they will review things in 6 weeks. We cannot wait six weeks for help.

Does anyone know if I can find my own assistant with this funding?

work with the pre- school as ultimately thay will be the employers not you but i was in the same situation and became pro active by
making up a job description with the pre-school and then making a small flyer that we paid the local paper boy(with permission from the shop he worked at)to post our flyers to all local houses..it is such a rewarding job and for very few hours that it would have been hard to find a suitable applicant...anyway we did find a wonderful person who 5 years later is a good friend and sill supports our child who is now at school.
Good luck x
