ADHD private assessment -any recommendations?

I r just been told my daughter (aged 12) has been agreed to be assessed for ADHD, but the waiting time is 18-24 months. That's just crazy. I'm going private, as I'm pretty sure she has ADHD and she might benefit from medication.

I live near Sheffield. Can any of you recommend a good ADHD assessment centre? What sort of things do I need to watch out for? And what kind of timescale am I looking at with a private provider? Thanks,

Hi sorry I don’t have any ideas but just came on here to look for ADHD advice. My son is 5 and I suspect he has ADHD and / or ODD. We are awaiting an appointment with the specialist and I just saw in your post about the waiting time!! I’d like to go privately but living in a very rural part of Wales, I can’t find anything at all.

Would it be worth asking your GP for a private referral?

They're a couple of hours away from Sheffield but do offer Zoom assessments. My DC had a zoom assessment with them because it was during lockdown. They’re very good and the Paediatrician still works in the NHS most of the week.
