Phew! Fab Special School

Went to see other SN/PMLD school in our borough with the esteemed autistic unit and it was FAB. Really impressed. So geared up for autism. Work stations, one-on-one virtually all day etc... So many fab facilities, too. Going to see a proper ASD class on Monday. Saw a pic of Pixel's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS DS on the wall! DD was hilarious, requesting crisps and juice in the headmaster's office and getting them all over the floor and swiping reports off his desk!!! Only problem now is getting a place but the headmaster was positive but said at the end of the day it's up to the LEA.

Really, really pleased for you JB. Hope all goes well with getting a place - when will you find out?

Probably not until next year. They keep you waiting, these LEA people, don't they?!
Am hoping I'll get a nod and a wink, though, if you know what I mean. Otherwise they'll have me hassling them for loads more ABA funding

my dd wouldnt leave the door alone when we were in the headmasters office, I am sure that is why she got a place

Another thread I seem to have missed. I'm glad it went so well, JB. We'll keep our collective fingers crossed that there's a place going spare with your dd's name on it.

Finding the right school is so important...has taken us years to get J his place at the local special school...sept 05 cant come soon enough!!!
