ECHP Draft Plan Help

Hi, I am very new to this, the local authority have issued a draft plan, ignored our request for EOTAS and no mention of a personal budget just a lot of vague support in settings we know won't work. I have no idea how to go through this and highlight the issues and raise others but a checking service seems to cost about £500 which is staggering to say the least. Can anyone point me in the direction of a do it yourself check list or have you used a checking service and was it worth it? Thank you

If you haven’t already have a look at this IPSEA page.

Go through section B and make sure all DC’s needs are in there. Then make sure there is corresponding provision for each need in F. Section F is the important part - it must be detailed, specific and quantified otherwise it isn’t worth the paper it is written on.

Make sure anything that educates and trains is in F, including things like SALT and OT. LAs often try to put them in G.

Are the reports specified and quantified? Or are they vague and woolly? If the reports are vague and woolly the EHCP will be too as provision is taken from the reports.
