Ideas needed please!

I’ve been really struggling over the summer holidays - I have 3 children, 1 with moderate SN and 1 profound SN. DH does a lot when he comes in but I am burnt out and suffering from never having time alone. I’m planning to go out tomorrow and need some quick simple suggestions for things to re-charge, nurture and enjoy by myself!

I’m already thinking to maybe visit a gallery and have lunch / coffee alone with a book.

What else do people do for a quick boost when feeling a bit low other than cry / sleep!?

I go for a massage if I have time, or grab a takeaway coffee and a book. I’ve been known to park up and have a good read opposite fields.

Thanks for the idea - maybe next time I’ll book a massage, my achy old body could do with it! The parking up idea reminds me of the ‘reading a book in sainsburys car park’ post that inspired me to take some time for myself!

The weather’s been great; are there any botanical gardens near you? I loved a recent visit and it was beautiful being amongst all the plants.
