Anxiety and the school holidays

Anyone else in the same boat? How do you cope? I need some strategies.
DD is refusing to go anywhere unless a friend comes along. We had an activity booked today but the friend has cancelled. DD refuses to go to holiday clubs. All her friends are away for the next 2 weeks so no one else to step in unfortunately. I'm worried she's becoming more and more isolated.

Yes, but I don’t know how to cope. Makes me ridiculous anxious, but that’s probably not what you want to hear!

My daughter is refusing to do a lot of things. I can usually persuade her but it's so tiring to have to work so hard to go to an activity I think she'll enjoy...

She usually just wants to stay at home. Very isolated. School refuser.

I find one thing a day. Her knowing what it is. Pictures of where we're going. Reminding her of the bits she might really like. Planning for bits she's worried about (eg bringing ear defenders) help. I do think it's got easier over the last couple of months. Some may be hormones with my DD (12 in September), some anxiety, some autism.

But I'm with you, it's hard!!
