Child DLA renewal times

Hi all
DS has ASD/ADHD and complex care needs, I sent back his renewal pack which DLA confirmed they received 11 May.

Haven't heard anything else from them, getting slightly concerned now as his current claim runs out in 3 weeks.

Anyone have any idea how long renewals are taking atm?

did they renew in time for you, how long was the wait for you?
sorry for the questions I am waiting for my boys renewal pack… could I ask what did the form look it? Was it the same as the original you sent off for the initial claim?

Child DLA scanned on 18th October, I believe we will have to wait for about 15 weeks 🥴 not expecting anything before end of January 2023 🤦‍♀️ good luck to us all 🙏🏻

@Dee1618 we had scan renewal date of October 21st 2022. I called yesterday and was told they don't look at claim until a week before its due to run out . Ours is due to run out January 28th and bugs with Decisin maker now

DLA renewal claim confirmed by DWP via letter on the 21st December 2022, DLA expires on the 28th March 2023 and not heard from them to date, has anyone else been waiting this amount of time?

I'm sorry to say that several people on this board have said their awards have been renewed on the DAY their old one expired.
You've said your award expired two days ago though. Is that correct? If so I would call them tomorrow but factor in an hour wait on hold.

DLA renewal claim confirmed by DWP via letter on the 21st December 2022, DLA expires on the 28th March 2023,. Rang DLA on the 5th of April asking if my claim for my grandson had been awarded, told it was awarded on the 28th of March 2023 higher rate, asked why letter had not been sent out yet, told it takes time.
