ADHD parenting course

Has anyone done a good parenting
course for help with parenting a child with ADHD?

I have had a look and there are some online ones but no idea if they're actually any good or not so wondered if anyone had any personal recommendations.

Hello we recently completed an 11 week course via our local childrens centre called the Parenting Puzzle. Over 70% of the parents and grandparents had at least one child with ADHD or ASD, or both. It was very good. Hope this helps.

@PinktoothbrushBluetoothbrush do you know if parents of older children can access this course at the childrens centre? I always thought they were for littlies age 5 and under but maybe I’m wrong. I suspect our DS(12) might be ND and also looking for parenting support

Our daughter is 8 so yes I think suitable for most preteens. I know they also run a teenage course too which I think we will attend in a few years. We are in Yorkshire if that helps.

I’ve also found the ADHD Dude on Facebook/YouTube helpful, a bit American but the strategies are good. And How to ADHD is also interesting, again Facebook and YouTube.

This is the one run by Family Links who I believe are UK wide. I found calling them first to explain the struggles we were having meant we got a referral quickly. Perhaps your local centre might consider offering you a place if you ask? The course book is below it is on my bedside table!
