Online ADHD consultation

Hello, I’m looking for some advice and hoping someone can help! My DC was diagnosed with Autism a while ago, privately (due to local CAMHS waiting times) and by a very reputable specialist who was recommended to me (don’t want to out myself by giving names but I’m mentioning this because I’ve no concerns about this person’s credentials). Long story short, we’re now fairly certain our DC also has ADHD so we’ve requested an assessment for this with the same specialist. However, we’ve been told that the assessment will take place online due to covid (the previous one was in person before the pandemic). Obviously I can see the rationale for this, but it is actually possible to assess for ADHD online? Our DC would be on the call with us (parents) but I’m wondering how accurate a remote assessment like this can actually be… Has anyone been through similar? TIA!

My DD has been assessed for both ASD & ADHD in the last year, this included bith a video call & an actual meeting for her, but my understanding is the in-person bit was for the ASD part of the assessment, the ADHD was the zoom part - and a million questionaires for everything!

That’s reassuring, @Blympette - thank you! We’ve not been sent any questionnaires yet, although the class teacher has been asked to complete one (I’ve not much faith her input will be particularly helpful but that’s another thread!)
