Hard when we have a GOOD day

Yesterday my dd10 was so happy, she had really enjoyed school and had got a round of applause in assembly for being a high scorer during sports week which she was chuffed with. She had made a new friend at after school club and she was buzzing. I caught a glimpse of what life could be like without the damned autism and it made be realise what she would be like without it if that makes sense ? At least with the meltdowns I know where we are !!

I know this feeling. It happens once in a blue moon when 13yo DD has a good day.
I get quite down about it as I know it's only a temporary reprieve from the stress.
