Hi

I have applied to my LA for the EHNCA for my DS who's school have been extremely poor. I know it's a long road without their support but it's not going to stop me as I've applied on the recommendation of SENDIASS and Early Help and I truly believe he deserves more than what is being done.

The LA have contacted asking for a brief description why I feel my child should be assessed.

Sorry for sounding silly but do I literally list how he can't cope in school, overwhelming sensory needs, learning struggles?

Yes, list all of that.
IPSEA have templates / model letters and advisors to help who who are likely to be FAR better than SENDIASS

Yes, list it all and link it to why/how it affects his learning where you can. Include any evidence you have, IEP, reports, any professional reports, if there have been incidents of anything in school and they record on CPOMS ask for that too
