Direct Payments and commissioned care

DD has direct payments. Can she also used other commissioned care/services? Social worker is telling us that everything she wants to access has to come out of her direct payments, DD has been offered one day per week placement at a community farm for teenagers with learning disabilities.
So can we have a mix of direct payments and commissioned care?

A personal budget can be delivered in a combination of ways, but obviously if that was the case the DPs would reduce.

Is the provision at the farm social care provision or should it be educational provision?

It is in her social care plan, so social provision. It is also included in her EHCP as it provides work experience.

It sounds like it should be in section F of the EHCP therefore educational provision and outwith social care DPs.
