Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of the DLA banding awarded for one-side hemiparesis.

18 month old can’t use one hand and limited use of one foot, so can’t crawl, only drags body around with the other side, can’t stand or pull up, can only feed self with one hand etc.

I have completed the forms but haven’t sent them as not sure we would be awarded anything anyway.

DLA awards are based on needs, rather than diagnosis.

Low rate care is for help for some of the day.
Middle rate care is for frequent help or constant supervision during the day, supervision at night or someone to help while they’re on dialysis.
High rate care is for help or supervision throughout both day and night, or terminal illness.

You can’t get mobility until 3 for high rate and 5 for low rate.

If you haven’t already look at the Cerebra guide.
