Tomatis Auditory Integration Therapy

Hi my daughter has quite severe sensitivity to sound. We attended for this initial consultation during the week and I think we’re going to go ahead with the program. We’re pretty desperate for results at this point because it’s getting to a point where we can’t take her anywhere too crowded or noisy (if at all) without ear defenders.
before we spend a huge amount of money which it is, I wondered if anyone has had any experience with this type of therapy and long term what were the results?

Thank You

We did iLS rather than tomatis for sensorimotor issues rather than hearing problems. It was the DIY OT alongside the music that helped us so I can't comment on hearing sensitivity, sorry. Have you had an auditory processing assessment done? We went to CHEARS years ago and their report would help you pinpoint better what help your DD might need.

Thanks for replying! Yes they did an auditory processing assessment, they did identify an issue. They said she’s a little unusual in that her issues only really started to reveal themselves around age 7, they said usually it begins younger and kids are born with this problem.
She started the program today so we really have hopes for good results, we don’t know what else we can do anymore really, anxiety does seem to exacerbate the sensory issues.
