Please share your thoughts on OLA school. My son has some anxiety and some sensory issues.
But academically he is doing above the average.
Please share your thoughts. TIA

I am impressed with class size too. But I would say my son has some sensory and anxiety issues. Will they provide OT and ST ?
and I haven’t seen in their website regarding SEN fee.

Would certainly avoid now. Has changed rapidly since the new regime arrived, and not for the better. Huge exodus of good staff a year ago, short lived ireplacements, something is clearly very wrong.

I'd also be interested to hear any current parents views as we're currently considering it for our DC who has ASD. I thought the SEN provision seemed quite good...

In the recent letter we received, two members of the leadership team have been vanished overnight, the other two have been dispensed with and will be leaving before the end of the year. The next, cheaper, inexperienced recruits will be taking over immediately. Turmoil and inconsistency reign, we’re going elsewhere.

Thank you both for your thoughts. We've looked around already and I agree the SEN department seemed really great. I also liked all the teachers we spoke to, apart from the head who gave off an odd vibe. We never intended to go private so this is a huge decision for us and I am worried about the staff turnover. It seems very odd. Do you think there is a chance it will shut down?

@KahrenSydney
That's good to hear. I did have a really positive feeling about it so maybe I should just trust that instinct

Now I'm really confused! If i knew any parents then I would absolutely talk to them but I don't.
, so I find myself on Mumsnet!
I had heard about the early years setting closing and I am concerned by the stability of the school. It would be awful for my DC to get settled somewhere and then have to leave. Consistency of staff would also be better for an ASD child.
We really don't have many other options in the area that would be suitable. Possibly doverbroecks or Sibford but we would need to move house to make this possible.

{username redacted}
Thanks for your advice.
As a parent and member of staff, do you have any explanation for the sudden closing of the early years setting and high turnover of staff?

I presume you are the same person under a different username who has just private messaged me about where I have worked in the past.
Absolutely unhinged behaviour if you are indeed a current member of staff and so unprofessional to be engaging with Mumsnet at all on this topic. Franky it is putting me off applying to the school if this is considered acceptable.

Redactions, enforced deletions, username changes. Desperate, as previously said, something is clearly very wrong.

It is really odd. We are actually seriously considering the school at liked it a lot. This has really put me off. So bizarre for a member of staff to get involved with posting on Mumsnet in this way
