DS1 goes to visit the SLD/PMLD school tomorrow - and to meet the head. Then he's off to panel fr a place on Wednesday. It looks perect for him and if there isn't a place I have no idea what we will do so please please please keep your fingers crossed for us and send us lots of good vibes (to get him in the building- I'm a bit worried he'll refuse to go in )

Fingers and everything else crossed. I'm sure they will have come across the 'refuse to go in' thing before.

It sounds perfect and I'm sure they will love him.

no idea wha the SLA/PMLD is, but sounds like it'll be a good thing for him, so am keeping everything crossed for you (and because i need a wee)

Misdee SLD is severe learning diffculties
PMLD is profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Means they have lots of things like sensory rooms and hydrotherapy pools!

He loves water providing its not in the bath! ( a new one - something to do with hair washing I think!- loves swimming though). I liked the look of the hydrotherapy pool (it was a sensory environment as well- lots of lights). They aslo have a very cool uv room - and a sand and water room. At break time they choose the toy they want to play with using PECS and they go out once a week in the bus to a cafe where they use PECS to order food. Can you see why I've fallen in love with the place!

The school sounds so perfect. Best of luck for tomorrow's visit, and the panel won't know what hit them on Wednesday when all these vibes hit them.
