I am just not sure whats going on with my baby. He is late on all his gross motor skills, when he tries to sit he wobbles forward and is very unbalanced. He can't push up and lift his chest off the floor during tummy time and gets really tired fast. His arms just seem really stiff as well? When I try to lift his arms in bath or to get dressed they go really stiff, almost like he is stronger than me. I noticed he can't raise his arms past his shoulders. Despite having rigid arms his upper body seems really weak, his head control is not great, he struggles to hold it in midline and if he tries to look up it wobbles. Just recently he has started having an open mouth posture and drooling. People have started asking me if he is okay, my older son asked me if he was going to be disabledI am getting worried about him, I knew there was something different about him but I didn't know what. He is also really sensitive to noise. My HV is useless, and my Dr is very dismissive. He has an appt with our paed soon so I am going to bring it up then- the paed is also very dismissive so it is really frustrating. He hasn't seen him since he was 4 months old and things are much more apparent now so I hope he takes me seriously. I have diagnosed a few things myself: cerebral palsy, ASD, hypermobility, hypotonia/hypertonia Confused

What do people think? Has anyone else had similar issues? I honestly feel like there is more knowledge and advice on here than talking to the professionals Grin

@MamaWeasel what do you think? I feel so sorry for him because he suffers with GERD so is miserable a lot of the time. He just seems to want to sit in his bouncy chair or be cuddled. I try get him to do tummy time and roll etc with toys but everything just seems exhausting for him. When on his tummy he looks like a little stranded beetle, he tries so hard to move forward just kicking his legs Sad x

In your shoes I would pay for a consultation with a private paediatric physiotherapist who may not be able to diagnose any underlying condition but should be able to identify any physical developmental issues and concerns and write up a report for you to present to the paediatrician. This may be helpful in getting further with the paediatrician with your worriesz

Thats a good idea, thank you x
