EHCP how many hours

My son now has an EHCP very recently. Someone told me it should say how many hours he's been allocated, what page should I find this on?

Provision should be specified and quantified in section F, so it should say e.g. how many hours, if any, 1:1, SALT or OT or any other provision. What page(s) section F is varies from child to child and also how your LA sets out their EHCPs.

As PP above said all the provision should be specified in Section F.

If the plan has only been issued recently and is not specific and quantified and says things like "would benefit from", "access to". "opportunities for" and other vague and woolly phraseology, you should appeal.

It says daily xyz and mentions speech therapy reviewed every half term but in terms of the daily stuff it doesn't say how long each activity should be for etc. I've emailed and asked so hopefully will get a reply tomorrow

Ellie I read a laughable phrase recently - “…at the discretion of the local authority.” It was at the end of the majority of sentences.

teadress in that case it isn’t worth the paper it is written on and isn’t enforceable. Does DS need ongoing direct SALT?

I've spoken to The council this morning and a lot of what was written is based on him still being in nursery now as the EHCP is from there onwards. But they are going to make amendments

Even if DS is at nursery section F should still be detailed, specific and quantified.

If DS is starting school in September any EHCP written now should take in to count the support DS will require at school.

The council are going to investigate more with the professionals involved and amend the EHCP accordingly
