DLA Renewal dates - help

I think I have completely stuffed up. I was sent my renewal pack in December but her award is until mid April so I put it to oneside. We then got covid/life got stressful etc.

Anyway its only looking now that I realised it takes them so long to assess so even if I finish the renewal this weekend it isn't going to get back to me in time is it?!

Is it okay as long as I sent it before the renewal date? I'm going to lose money aren't I? What will happen?

I think the way renewals are being looked at, yours probably wouldn't even get reviewed until a few days before it runs out anyway.
I intentionally sent my son's renewal off a month before the award finished. Otherwise I'd have been stressing the whole time it was with them!
At worst, there could be a gap between the end of the award and the start of a new one. But I don't think they'll put it to the back of the pile because it's late.
It's so worrying. Try not to stress too much.
