My ds2 is 15 and non verbal. I’ve been trying to get him to sleep in his own room so completely done it all out ( in space design. Bought a tall pet gate, but he can open it. So now I’ve run out of ideas. Can anybody suggest anything.thanks

Not quite sure if this door can be cut in half.

Has DS had a referral to a sleep clinic?
Has DS seen an OT?
Have you heard about SafeSpace beds?
Does he take melatonin?
Apologies for all the questions!

We see someone from the DTC sleep clinic next on the list. He takes alememazine I’ve heard about space safe beds but his rooms only small.

Safe space beds can be custom made, so even though it’s a small room they may be able to make one small enough. Really worth pursing an OT assessment for. In the meantime contact Newlife who may be able to help with an emergency equipment loan.

If DS2’s room is too small you may b3 eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant.

There are other medications DS could try.
