Hi, our nearly 3 year old has delays in speech, communication and social skills. Until recently she understood very little but we’ve noticed she has started to respond to her name a bit more and seems to understand some basic concepts like telling her she is going to nursery/ asking her to bring us stuff (although this is all still quite inconsistent). She has numerous single words, knows a fair bit of the alphabet and can easily count to 10. Knows shapes/ colors etc. I was wondering if anyone on here had similar and if their child managed to catch up/ develop their understanding and when that happened/ how long it took? I just want to be able to communicate with her ☹️
