DS 7.5 is tall and strong. We have a diagnosis of ASD. He is v well behaved at school, masks everything and melts down at home. Increasingly he is violent, mainly towards me. Yesterday was the worst I have experienced. I was kicked repeatedly in the chest, on the legs, anywhere he could reach. Punched in the breasts, clawed at, screamed at, slapped. I haven't stopped crying all day. I don't know what to do or how to get help.

Is DS under CAMHS? Has he had an OT assessment? Have you had social care assessments? A carer’s assessment for you and an assessment via the disabled children’s team for DS.

It is possible to get an EHCP for a child who masks, have you thought about applying?

Have a look on Yvonne Newbold's page on Facebook - it's been brilliant for us - m.facebook.com/groups/421839288150939?group_view_referrer=search

It's all parents with children who can be violent and the peer support is so good.

Thank you I'll look that FB group up
