I have to take ds(3) for ados test and cognitive tests tomorrow.
I don't know why I am so anxious about it.
I think they are trying to tke away the dx I have from the paediatrician.
I don't quite know what to expect, although obviously they will be testing him in the 3 areas.
I have eaten loads of chocolate, I must not open that family size bar of fruit and nut....
I did a search on mumsnet for the ados test, but can't find much info.
So, I have decided that for the benefit of others I will report back tomorrow evening or atleast by Friday with a full report!
I have decided to take notes during the test.
I am not sure what the psychologist and salt will make of that, but well they already think I am nuts!
oooooooooooh fruit and nut.....

I'm a salt.
I'm sure they will just be nice normal people (like me)

Relax, they want to see you both as yuo normally are.It might help to make some notes of things you need them to know/things you need to ask.

Best of luck.

Good luck Deeja!

Good luck, Deeja, and remember that if he won't co-operate properly with the cognitive tests, they are NOT valid (this is according to official cognitive test guidance). My boy just wouldn't do them, and I shouldn't therefore have let them put on record anything about the tests. Don't want to add to your worries, but just want you have that in your armoury before going in. I too have eaten so much choc over Xmas that am sick and fat as house. Oh well, it was very yummy!

I hope the appointment went well deeja, I am waiting on an appointment for my ds, he will be 4 in May, I would like to hear how you got on.

I dread any of these appointments, very daunting.
