My little boys annual review is coming up, OT, physio need named in section F, he is in a sen school, can the school nurse be named in section F? I have been told she is trained in helping children that find eating difficult and my son has a very limited diet and does not eat and drink at school.
Any other suggestions are welcome also, he also will not poo at school this has resulted in hospital admissions due to an impacted bowel twice.
Thank you

You can't name an individual in section F, but it sounds as if you would be justified in asking for help from the school nurse to be written into section F because what she is doing is educating or training your child.

So far as the poo issue is concerned, it really depends on the medical advice.

If you need more help, you might find it useful to phone IPSEA or SOS SEN.

Thanks @Trilley so where it lays out Childs needs e.g. child requires assistance toileting it then says by whom classroom assistant how often twice per day, do you know who can be included in this part? Thank you

Needs should be in B and corresponding provision in F. What can/will be included depends on DS’s needs and what the advice for him is.

Thanks @Imitatingdory ds is 6 his diagnosis is autism which is is severely affected by and severe global developmental delay, he is non verbal, has limited diet and refuses to eat at school he also does not drink at school, he does not poo at school he holds on to it which school have witnessed and has had 2 hospital admittances since September because of an amalgamation of all of these but mainly because his bowel is impacted.
His EHCP coordinator has not confirmed if she will be able to attend and most of the professionals outside of school are just submitting statements, I'm concerned that this review is going to be the school and me in which case they will probably just agree with each other etc.

Thanks *@Trilley* so where it lays out Childs needs e.g. child requires assistance toileting it then says by whom classroom assistant how often twice per day, do you know who can be included in this part? Thank you
I would have thought it preferable for the Plan to provide for both toilet training and assistance with toileting, and it certainly shouldn't be limited to twice a day - what happens if the poor boy needs to go a third time? On the face of it, the classroom assistant should be fine for that purpose, but it really depends on the advice.

What is important is that the other staff helping your son should be properly trained, including by liaising with the therapists. If he needs help to deal with eating issues, that needs to be identified as a need in section B with proper provision for it in section F.

If you're not happy with the outcome of the annual review, you have a right of appeal if the LA decides not to amend the EHCP. If they do decide to amend it, you have a right to be consulted on the amendments, and you have a further right of appeal if you still disagree with the EHCP's contents. People like SOS SEN and IPSEA can help with that.
