DS has ADHD, along with GAD and potentially Tourette's, so things are tough for him (and in turn, tough for us as a family) He's going to be 13 this year and is starting puberty, so we now have these issues to contend with, as well as everything else. We've particularly noticed an increase in aggressive behaviour (verbal abuse, lashing out etc) as well as moods that can flip 180 in a matter of seconds. I'm unsure how much of this is related to his ADHD and how much is just a case of the 'teenagers'. How do ADHD kids tend to fair during puberty? Any tips for getting through this period (apart from copious amounts of wine for me!!)
Just for background, DS has been on various medications throughout the 4 years, with differing affects / issues. His current medication - Strattera - takes the edge off but doesn't help massively so CAMHS are suggesting a change to Guanfacine.
