I’m so stressed about it now.
We did a coc last year, however they declined (we tried for hrc and hrm under vuw).
His 9 (nearly 10), he has asd, ld, adhd, and hyper mobility. At mainstream he had full 1-1 ehcp, however they could no longer meet his needs so now in a Sen school. His verbal but struggles to communicate still on eyfs curriculum pre reading and writing, can’t wash him self clean his teeth etc etc.
night times he doesn’t sleep till 1am and by 4 am having to shower and change his bedding as he wets through his nappies. It’s really difficult. Outside he uses a buggy as he struggles with busy places he does not need it out at school due to going out places at quite times. We can go to parks at 8 am fine but when they are busy he runs of and gets angry. He last went to a shop 4 years ago as he went crazy escaped the buggy kicked their windows in then ran into the road.
I have done a mr I have said I won’t fight for hrm but will for hrc. I don’t get how some people get it.
They turned him down as we had a Paed letter saying
“Melatonin worked for a short time however is now ineffective so have increased and given liquid form”. Dla have said if it worked for a short time then, then it should work again (this letter was recent to the claim), bearing in mind it worked for only 3 months. Also it’s a fight to get him to take it and we are normally not successful. They said nothing about the bed wetting ,(through nappies), also when we get him to take the meds his up at 2 am. He doesn’t sleep till 1 am due to high anxiety (worries about nightmares) for which they have said nightmares are normal.
I’m not sure whether to fight at tribunal!
When we applied he was also in a sld class however his moved up to a mld class due to his social communication now being better although educationally his not improved but most the kids in that class were pre verbal or had no social communication.
