Getting a text when DLA have made a decision

Anyone who’s previously been awarded DLA for a child, did you get a text informing you a decision had been made or was the first you knew a letter/money in your account? Just wondered if they text every single person or if it just depends! Thanks in advance

I didn't get a text. I found out it had been awarded when I rang to chase it up. Apparently decision had already been made the previous day, money arrived the next day, then letter about a week later.

@Sprogonthetyne thank you! I rang up this eve and they said it’s with a decision maker, but she couldn’t tell if that meant they were looking at it right now or if it was just in their pile of allocations and she couldn’t tell me how long they would take either!

I’ve never had a text. Usually just seen the money in my account, then a letter a week later.

I don’t think there is any rhyme or reason as to whether you get a text or not.
