Audio books on ASD

Bit of a specialised request but does anyone know where I might get any audio books on ASD ? Our son has just been diagnosed and my partner, who drives 120 mile round trip each day to and from work, would like to learn more about it, but obviously hasn't much time to read...an audio book he could stick on in the car would be ideal.

Anyone know if there is such a thing ?

Not sure what you are after exactly, perhaps some Podcasts would be a starting point. These tend to be American, and can be interviews with parents, authors, and researchers / doctors.

Autism Speaks Video Resources - What Is Autism has posted some videos, which could perhaps be put on an MP4 player, or audio-extracted to a CD. Full Video List

There is a video over at the Community Channel - it follows a family, as the parents search for information to help them understand their son.

Thanks so much nannynick. We'll have a look at these as they may be of some use - my partner is an IT buff so may be able to extract the audio from the video material. We were hoping to find some general reading material which had be converted to audio, but I think it's probably not that much called for.

Thanks again.
