Jimjams,

I went christmas shoping today and went into the ELC. Did you know that they are selling a toy washing machine? Would ds1 be interested in it? When I saw it I thought of you.

toy washing machines are great. would he prefer the hotpoint one or the brightly coloured one?
dd2 has got the brightly coloured one, must get new batteries. its indestructable, has been lobbed across the room and down the stairs at our old place, she also stands on it (39lb child).

Ah he has one. At my mum's house. it is kept on a special shelf (out of ds2's reach). Whenever we go there- he asks for it- plays with it for about 5 minutes then insists it goes back on the shelf!

sidetrack.....but ah well......when i was about 5 or 6 i had a toy metal washing machine that you actually put water in...it drained the water then even spun the clothes......(i used to put dolls clothes in it)
now wouldn't 'OUR' kids just love that...!

Ah, this brings back memories for me too. My mum has pictures of me, I suppose I was about 3, with my little (working)washing machine. Apparently I was obsessive about it! I used to wash anything that would fit in it!!
