DLA case manager decision

Hey, I’ve just rang to find where our claim is processing and it got passed to a case manager Friday just gone, how long did it take for people to get a decision once it was with the case manager?

Hello they made a decision with my sons on friday and received his forms on the 2nd of September. We were refused so having to do a mandatory consideration now. Good luck I hope you get what you deserve.

I was wondering if you’ve received a decision yet? And how did it take from when the case manager had your application?

Mines for my daughter is now with a case manager since the beginning of this week.

We got a decision yesterday, so it was with a decision maker since Friday before last and the decision was made yesterday. We were awarded middle rate care and low rate mobility! Hope that helps!

Thanks for you reply. It helps give me an idea how long we’ll be waiting. It’s 10 weeks this coming Tuesday since they received our application. I was told me their getting majority of application the now processed within 10 weeks. So hopefully not much longer until we get her decision.

Our forms went in on the 3rd scanned on that is, so was roughly 11 weeks this week for us. But I rang this Monday just gone and the one before to chase. Then this morning got straight through and got told the award! He asked what bank account sort code I would be using as a security question which gave it away before he confirmed it.

That’s brilliant you’ve been awarded. I’ll give them another call Tuesday when it hit 10 weeks to find out if there’s any update.

I’m just worried as she’s only turned 3 last month and only started nursery this month. So I sent what I had, 2 reports from assessments this year from a paediatric nurse and then doctor and got our health visitor write in the statement part and also sent confirmation letters from SLT that’s she been accepted for therapy but awaiting therapist to be allocated and one saying she has been accepted on waiting list for ASD assessment. The report from the paediatric doctor states on it to apply for DLA as she’s does have additional needs. So I’m hoping they take that into consideration.

Hello sorry to jump on this post as its from 2021 but I've done a new claim its all new to me I rang for the form on the 29th April 2024 and they recieved it on the 6th June which I got the letter saying they received the forms on the 6th June on the 20 th June its been about nearly 10 week all together but only had one letter off them confirming they have received the forms I've rang up today 11th July to ask of there is a update and he asked me loads of security questions twice and asked who I bank with and my sort code but said a decison hasn't been made yet and it could take up untill the 24th October 24 I'm just wondering is it normal for them to ask that for security as I rang up once before and they never asked for that but this time they asked my name address date of birth who I bank with and sort code thanks just confused as they said a desison hasn't been made x

Hi just wondering as my scan day what 30th july 2024 and have been told this week that my application is with case manager how long does it take when its with case manager cause when i applied the form it was 15 week wait then 20 week wait now 25 week wait. My 20 weeks is up this tuesday coming. Has anyone else applied aeound the same time as me and heard anything..

I no this is old lol but we've been waiting nearly 2 years for a decision! They refused us first time then mandatory reconsideration has been over 25 weeks and only now with a case worker should find out this week
