Dd9 was officially diagnosed with ASD in may this year. I expected that the sen team would work towards making provisions for her in the classroom but I don't believe this has happened. They are very secretive and won't tell me what is in place for her. I had a meeting with a sen advisor before the summer holidays and she told me to stop worrying as there are doing all they can for my dd but didn't say what ! They refused to do an ehcp as they don't feel she needs one. My dd started year 5 in September and have emailed the teacher 3 times to ask what is being done to help my dd and she doesn't respond. I had previously been referred to enabling families and they have been amazing. They also emailed the teacher and copied in the sen team last week to ask what was happening and made suggestions to help my dd and again no response ! Where do I go from here ??

Go into the school and ask them to check you have the right e-mail address for the teacher as you have e-mailed 3 times and not heard back.
If you have, then ask if you can make an appointment with the SENCo.

If that is refused, then ask for an appointment with the HT.
