School refusal - when did it start

If you have a girl with ASD who happily went to school, until they did not, when did they stop being able to attend?

Around the end of yr 4. Worst of it was yr 5 and covid dealt with missing most of yr 6 which she was so glad about!

I have a girl with ASD who never really went to school happily, but dropped out entirely in year 8. She's now in a a special school, and still regularly struggles, but not as bad as in mainstream secondary.

My little boy has just started refusing going into year 2
