Changing ABA provider after responding to draft EHCP?

Dear mums,

I am new to this forum and looking for advice. We have been doing a full-time ABA programme with our son for the last 6 months at a center in London. We have recently received his draft EHC plan and really keen to get ABA written in his plan / funded by LA.

I am not too happy with my son's current ABA provider. I think he could do better elsewhere with better supervision and tutors. Plus it will also save us journey time and money! Although we are using evidence from his current provider at this stage, I am also looking at other ABA providers to start off with soon.

If we go to the tribunal and get funding (hopefully), can we change the provider? Do we need to get it written in the plan? Or is it possible to give the LA a second option (new ABA provider details) and let them know we want to change as it's far from us?

Many thanks

I would suggest not sending your child to ABA at all - have you done any research on the controversy and negatives (trauma, mental health issues, etc) associated with ABA therapies?
