Swop The Satsuma-Sized Secret by Lucy Noguera is a brand new 7+ reading age (6 - 9yrs suitable) chapter book series about a miniature dog that would fit in your pocket!🐢🐾🀫😍

Often children who have learnt the mechanics of reading then just stop. They need plenty of practise reading at this level before they can move on to the reading for pleasure and independent reader stage and the more accessible the book is the more likely that will be to finish it! We are publishing some new chapter books with a more accessible format, they have small black and white images to break up the text and we have chosen a dyslexic friendly font, optimum font size and spacing for easy reading and the book is longer than usual to still give the satisfaction on finishing. We want to produce books that fulfil a need, they will always strive to be inclusive too - we want all children to find themselves represented in a book positively. This first book features a deaf sibling and naturally promotes deaf awareness and introduces finger spelling in a fun way. Are there any other ways mums have encouraged their newly independent readers? Are there any books you want to see available that you know your child would love?
